So I tried a lot of things, like re-installing drupal and searching here to find a fix. I've been going through all possible .htaccess fixes and made sure all the file permission are as intended, but no go. You might try telling Drupal to redirect the user to a custom error page, along with an HTTP 500 status header, when it receives certain errors within a try...catch block.
